I’m sorry, but I must throw my 2 pence worth into the whole Recess Monkey, Dorries thing.

First let’s try and remember who read political blogs….OH YEH - PEOPLE IN POLITICS.
Second let’s try and remember what Alex writes on Recess Monkey….OH YEH - POLITICAL GOSSIP FOR LABOUR RESEARCHERS.

So guess what happens on a Labour blog, aimed at other Labour bloggers, employees and activists. Sniping at other political parties is what political blogs do.

So when a 22 year old types anything on the WORLD WIDE WEB they are responsible for there actions whether a daughter of an MP or not.

Also people seem to think that Alex found Philippa Storm’s profile by acident as he randomly searches MP’s offspring’s facebook profiles as he gropes himself (as implied by Ms Dorries). No this has probably been going around from inbox to inbox for over a week that a daughter to a Tory MP has been silly enough to use potentially racially offensive language on her facebook profile.

I did laugh when Dorries dragged Phillippa’s friend into the story accrediting her the quote at the centre of all this, I’m sure she is very happy that her name has been messed up with this whole story. I’m sure Dorries has no problem sleeping tonight that she has now placed a friend of her daughter’s in the middle of all this. The reason I don’t use the girl’s name is simple; soon, within a couple of days, when her name is entered into google, Dorries post will be number one. I hope the girl’s future employers don’t google their employees.

Recess Monkey’s Next Move

Just watched my good friend Hr Hilton (the Saddam Hessian for the UK blogging right) on last nights Question Time Extra. Alex did quite well, especially when he stopped himself from saying India and Pakistan were at war at the moment.

But something that does worry me slightly is a look he had on his face at the beginning of the segment, of course in their is a reasonably large amount of distaste to Chris Eakin, before we judge Alex too much we must remember that Chris is a news anchor, but what worries me more is the bit of smugness in Alex’s look, which says to me that Recess Monkey is moving his empire, as he has conquered the blogging left, is he moving to add the BBC into his domain?
